I loved this car from the first moment I saw it sitting under my dads carport. A 1979 Black L-82 4 speed manual Corvette with ghost flames on the fenders. Looking at the flames sparkle down the side of the car I couldn't help but feel the ominous presence of the car almost as if it had some sort of spirit or personality of its own.

Had to wash the first layer of 2 decades before I parked it. The Ghost flames look faded.

One reason to pull the motor was the visible damage to the bell housing from previous work.

After some scrubbing, sandblasting angle grinding, powerwashing the frame and rear diff were ready for a coat of paint. I used Steel-it on the frame and chevy engine orange on the diff.

Used a 3inch hubcentric adaptor's to mount stock c5z06 rear size wheels front and rear. Ordered t20 sets of 2 to do all four wheels. The bolt pattern is the same but the bolt threads are different from the 79L-82 so I also purchased new nuts and lugnuts.

Already had 2 C6Z06 replicas that are c5z rear specs so I ordered a couple new ones from BBS wheels and they showed up within a few days.
